What this template does
Renders the photo as a traditional East Asian ink-wash (sumi-e) illustration: flowing monochrome brush strokes, wet edges, and large areas of deliberate empty space. Tone carries the whole image, so it works by simplification rather than by adding detail.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a colour ink version?
No — the template specifies monochrome brush work, and the restraint is most of the style. For colour with a similar hand-painted feel, use Watercolor Portrait instead.
How does it differ from Sketch Portrait?
Sketch builds tone out of many small graphite lines; ink wash builds it out of few large wet strokes and the paper left bare between them. Sketch is denser and more literal; ink is sparser and more interpretive.
Is this template free to use?
You can generate twice a day with no account at all. A free account adds 20 credits at signup plus 10 more daily. Downloading requires an account, and paid credits are what give you watermark-free output with full commercial rights; free-tier use is personal-use only.
Which model runs it, and what does it cost?

Without an account the job always runs on Shotari Basic and the page says so.
